The Sunmor Estates neighborhood in central Palm Springs is a treasure trove of remarkably well maintained mid-century homes built by the Alexander Construction Company, Robert C. Higgins, and Jack Meiselman in the late 50s and early 60s. Though modest in comparison to many homes built today, these properties are sought after for their clean lines and hip provenance. When considering properties from this era, however, buyers are often forced into a dilemma between style and the economics of low efficiency.

Let’s face it: Single paned windows, non-insulated walls, and deep pools constructed to 1950s standards aren’t the most cost-effective features for a modern-day dwelling.

For genuine Mid-Century Modern in Palm Springs, this is the real deal, built by Jack Meiselman's El Mirador Park Development Co. in 1957.

Recently featured during Modernism Week 2018, this home has been carefully updated, with classic architectural details preserved. The interior offers a clean and simple palette throughout, featuring walls of glass that beautifully integrate indoors with outdoors. We love the pristine tongue and groove ceilings and those beams that penetrate through the clerestory windows. You will find the layout to be perfect for parties that flow seamlessly through the living areas. You can also spoil yourself in the privacy of the luxurious master

Make your home stand out with The Paul Kaplan Group.

Today's technology makes it easier than ever for consumers to view any listing on the market. As agents, we can enter a home into the MLS, click a button, and watch it automatically appear on Zillow, Trulia, etc.

Unfortunately, that can also make it harder for Buyers to distinguish one listing from another. After a certain point, they all tend to look the same.

We wanted our listings to stand out from the crowd, so we decided to keep pushing.

The Paul Kaplan Group has been selling homes in all of these neighborhoods for two decades now, and are the local experts.  We'd like to introduce you to the El Rancho Vista Estates neighborhood in central Palm Springs which is a small enclave of homes, the majority of which were designed by Donald Wexler and Richard Harrison and built by developer Roy Fey.
