Mobile Homes and Manufactured homes get a bad rap.  Sometimes justified, but often not. Yes, there are some ugly and rough neighborhoods with mobile homes all over our country, but the same is true for some areas with “regular” homes.  We encourage you to ignore the stereotypes and look at facts. Whether in Palm Springs or other areas, we suggest you check out the neighborhood before making that call-  we did.

One of most common myths we hear is that mobile homes DEPRECIATE in value.  Quite the opposite can be true.  Recent data challenges the idea that manufactured housing isn’t a strong investment.

Until recently, the best time to buy a house had long been considered spring and summer. But to our surprise- a recent study has found that Fall may actually be the best time to buy.  And even though the temps are still high in Palm Springs, you can still tour listings with an iced pumpkin spice latte to get yourself in the mood for fall.  

RealtyTrac's analysis of more than 32 million home sales over 15 years revealed that the best month to snag a deal when buying a home is October. The data also concluded that, on average, October buyers paid 2.6% below the estimated market value at the time for their homes.

April was a busy month in Palm Springs and for The Paul Kaplan Group.  Our company closed escrow on approximately 50 homes.  The following is a 30-day Analysis of the Palm Springs Real Estate Market, with numbers provided by our local Board of Realtors, PSRAR.

Palm Springs has been the Coachella Valley's price leader for some time.  The median price is for single family homes is 9.3% above the all-time high made in 2006.  It is the only city in the Coachella Valley to surpass its 2006 high, for single family homes.  For detached homes, prices have recovered the best from the 2006, in Palm Springs, as compared to other cities in the valley.
