We love how upscale the Uptown Design District has become, at The Paul Kaplan Group and The Mod Shack. But sometimes we miss the good old days when funky mid-century finds were actually “design(s)” within reach.
Retro Etcetera is one of those spots still open on Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs. Specializing in Vintage clothing and Furs, Costume and Sterling Jewelry, Lucite and Art Glass, Mid Century Furniture, Artwork and Sculptures, Lamps, Pottery, and much more, Retro Etcetera takes us back to when we could hunt for treasures and get a great deal at the same time.
Eric & Ted Zepeda opened up shop in an old railroad apartment at 2059 N Palm Canyon and clearly love what they are doing. We want to thank Eric & Ted for this week’s #pkgLocal sweepstakes prize: A really special piece of hand-blown reverse hobnail glass. Definitely a studio piece as it is unmarked. Its totally one of a kind and a beautiful shade of bottle green. Look at how amazing it looks filed with sunflowers!
We like to promote and support local Palm Springs' businesses, so The Paul Kaplan Group and The Mod Shack are sponsoring weekly sweepstakes, giving away cool stuff from from our friends that operate other establishments here in town. We call it #pkgLocal. We want to share our local point of view on all things Palm Springs and Mid-Century-Modern. As the number one boutique real estate agency in Palm Springs we at The Paul Kaplan Group have a lot to say about what’s going on in our hometown. This summer, as the weather is heating up, we are going to hold a drawing once a week from all of the new email list sign-ups we get. In addition to staying informed about the local culture of Palm Springs you might win a fabulous prize!. The weekly prizes will range from books about the incredible architecture in Palm Springs, cool stuff for your home, and special treats from our favorite local businesses.
How do you enter the #pkgLocal Sweepstakes? Signing up is simple.
You'll be notified each weekend of our multiple open houses. Additionally, throughout the year you'll be invited to our hosted parties and events like our Modernism Yard Sale or progressive evening cocktail open house get-togethers. (Once we even screened a Doris Day movie in a vintage trailer park.)
Hope you enter! And thanks for supporting our local Palm Springs businesses- GOOD LUCK!
