Unique Light Display for the Holidays

Probably the most unique light display you'll ever "experience" will be at ROBOLIGHTS, Palm Springs.  Its one of the most bizarre collection of lights, and fantasy, creating an imaginary alien world, all located in the heart of a Palm Springs historic neighborhood.  Oh, and something you'll need to see in person at least once in your lifetime  (and this may be the last year you'll have the opportunity to see it at the current location, per The Desert Sun).

The following is an excerpt from the Robolight's Facebook page that briefly describes whats going on in this classic Palm Springs Neighborhood:
At ROBOLIGHTS, You experience a "Why not world in a why world?".
Situated in Palm Springs, it is known as a unique light display festooned with more lights than you might find anywhere else, but it's more than just a light display, it's also the art, making it an art & light display. Built by artist Kenny Irwin. Started in 1986 at age 12, [he] wanted to create a physical wonderland of lights combined with fantasy of imaginary other worldly north pole themes run by robots. Take the tour, and find out what happens when you combine Santa Claus & Robots & aliens for it will be a great time sure to deliver smiles and laughter making it a holiday themed sci-fi spectacle. The display features a life time's worth of monumental detailed found art spanning nearly thirty-five years.
Though ROBOLIGHTS is an extraordinary experience for people of all ages and backgrounds to inspire imagination and creativity in people, it also is to encourage respect for the limited resources of our world in the form of sustainability that you see in the art made out of recycled items.
At ROBOLIGHTS, you are taken into a parallel universe walking through immensely long zig-zagging pathways that leads up to hundreds of giant robots, aliens & huge displays everywhere, space ships, rocket sleds and art created out of a thousand tons of stuff including donated junk from over the last few decades that has come from family, neighbors, friends etc. Junk that would have otherwise ended up in a land fill but has been transformed into art everyone can enjoy.
ROBOLIGHTS is OPEN to the public from November 21st 2018 to January 2nd 2019 4:00-9:30 PM every single day, including holidays and rainy days.

From a recent Trip Advisor review:

"This "roadside" art is a must see in Palm Springs

Robolights is the creation of Kenny Irwin. Hard to describe, part outsider art, part full scale collage, you have never seen anything like it before. Especially fun to visit during the winter holidays. Be sure to pay your entrance fee (was $5 last time I was there) ARTISTS DON'T WORK FOR FREE!!! Worth every penny. Just down the street from the Sinatra residence "Twin Palms"
